In December, China's oil imports increased by 30% year-on-year and reached 43.78 million tons, or 10.31 million barrels per day. The indicator is held above the level of 10 million barrels per day for the second month in a row, in November it was 10.43 million barrels per day.
Gas imports to China, including liquefied natural gas, for the entire last year increased by 31.9% compared to 2017 year — up to 90.39 million tons. According to this indicator, the country also ranks first in the world.
China's gas imports in December reached a record of 9.23 million tons, which is 17% higher by December 2017. In November, the figure was 9.15 million tons.
