The Turkmen delegation took part in the 29th session of the energy Charter Conference in Bucharest. According to the official website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the session was attended by delegations of the Energy Charter member States, representatives of international organizations, as well as representatives of large energy companies, the public and the media.
The Conference noted the role of The energy Charter in the development of the global energy sector, support for a sustainable energy future, energy efficiency, as well as the development of innovative energy technologies, modernization of the Energy Charter Treaty and expansion of its membership.
During his speech at the Conference, the delegation of Turkmenistan acquainted the participants with the International initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan in the energy sector, implemented and implemented by our country's global energy projects.
Following the meeting, the Conference adopted the Bucharest Declaration of the 29th session of the energy Charter Conference.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation held a meeting with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Romania, Theodore meleshkanu.
Turkmen-Romanian inter-Ministerial consultations were also held at the level of Deputy foreign Ministers of the two countries. The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in political and diplomatic, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic, transport, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The parties noted the special interest in the issues of trade and economic cooperation, as well as in the project on the creation of the transit-transport corridor Black sea-Caspian sea.
