A new investment project aimed at increasing the export of Turkmen "blue fuel" to 60 billion cubic meters per year was presented at the IX international gas Congress of Turkmenistan by Kazakhstan consulting company "KDA International". This was reported by the Media news Agency-Turkmen ORIENT.

To date, the project has developed three variants of the pipeline route capable of providing Turkmen gas exports to Kazakhstan in the amount of 10 billion cubic meters per year and to China — in the amount of 50 billion cubic meters per year.

It is not just an idea, it has already been discussed with all parties the concept, said in an interview with the ORIENT, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company "KD International" Kanat Ryskanuli. – Four countries-China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are affected here.

He also noted that the project already has investors, there are buyers who are ready to buy this huge amount of gas. Work on the project has been going on for three years. It is not the most easily implementable, as it is international and it took time to agree on many issues. The final decision on its implementation will be taken collectively, with the participation of all participating countries.

Currently, there are three lines of the Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan – China gas pipeline, which allow Turkmenistan to export up to 40 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China annually.

In the future, it is planned to build the 4th line (D) to increase the capacity of the gas pipeline in China to 65 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. This line will be laid on a new route: Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan – Tajikistan – Kyrgyzstan-China.
