Today, during the telephone conversation, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his 62nd anniversary and wished him good health, inexhaustible courage and success in all his large-scale endeavors and further success in responsible state activities.
As the head of Turkmenistan noted, the fruitful activity of the Uzbek leader in high public office, his significant political experience and professionalism have earned great respect and high authority not only in the country but also abroad. Turkmenistan highly appreciates the relations with fraternal Uzbekistan and attaches great importance to the further development of the interstate dialogue – with a close neighbor and reliable partner.
Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction the progressive nature of bilateral cooperation across the entire spectrum of cooperation.
The head of Turkmenistan stressed that cooperation with Uzbekistan is one of the priorities of the foreign policy strategy of our country.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in turn, expressed confidence in the successful outcome of the First Caspian Economic forum, the initiative of which belongs to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The conversation continued with an interested discussion of the state and prospects of bilateral relations in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached earlier. The leaders of the two States noted with satisfaction that the effectiveness of the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation today is due to the common interests and the presence of a strong political will to intensify cooperation in all areas.
Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that today there are ample opportunities for increasing cooperation between our countries in all areas, the implementation of new major projects that serve the economic prosperity of the two fraternal States.
One of the topics of the telephone conversation was traditional contacts in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international agenda of mutual interest.
At the end of the conversation, the two leaders expressed confidence that relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue to develop dynamically.
