President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev to visit Turkmenistan on a state visit, the invitation was gratefully accepted, the terms of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
The two leaders agreed on this during a telephone conversation that took place on Wednesday between the leader of Turkmenistan and the newly elected new President of Kazakhstan.
Congratulating his Kazakh counterpart on his election to this high post, Berdimuhamedov wished him good health for many years, prosperity and great success in his responsible work at the highest state post.
Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan has always been committed to friendly relations with Turkmenistan, which, being based on the principles of mutual respect, mutual understanding and trust, have gained new quality content in recent years.
Having discussed the priority areas of bilateral cooperation, the two heads of state noted the presence of multifaceted potential for further building productive partnership in the trade and economic sphere, transport and communication sector, oil and gas industry, agriculture and a number of other sectors, which opens up opportunities for the implementation of new joint projects of regional and interregional scale.
The two leaders also expressed confidence that the fruitful interstate cooperation will expand, addressing the best wishes to the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
