The role of Caspian region in providing natural gas to Europe will increase every year, said Thursday the Secretary General of the Forum of gas exporting countries (GECF) Yuri Senturin, according to INTERFAX-AZERBAIJAN.

"With the decline in gas production in Europe and the gradual reduction in the use of other fuels, the role of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in providing natural gas to the European continent will gradually grow," Senturin said in Baku at the Oil and Gas conference 2019.

According to him, gas production in Norway by 2040 will be reduced from 50 billion to 25 billion cubic meters, and there will be a significant reduction in production in the Netherlands.
